Macadamia Hair Masque

Hi Everybody,

This will be my first hair product review and one of my favourites. I have long hair with normal to dry but I have dry ends. I have never coloured my hair so I am a natural brunette. I have used different masques that have been OK. I kept reading great reviews about Macadamia products so I decided to give the masque a go. It’s made from macadamia, argan oils together with tea tree, chamomile oils, aloe and algae extracts. It is a very thick, rich, creamy paste and the smell is amazing!  It is so hard to describe it so the best I can say is that it smells of an exotic tropical fruit. You only have to use a small amount so a 250ml pot will last a long time.  To get the best results, it’s best to comb it through wet hair and leave it for 7 minutes, though other reviewers have said you can leave it for 30 minutes. I have never tried this but I will one day. When I have dried my hair the smell is still there. If you have curly, frizzy, dry or damaged hair I cannot think of a better product to reconstruct your damaged hair. After using this product, you will feel like one of these hair models that you see on TV with their shiny and bouncy hair!  This is one of the best hair products on the market so please go and find yourself a pot of this exotic greatness!

If anyone has tried this product or have any others I should try, drop me a line as I love to hear from you.

La Vie Est Belle EDP by Lancome.

La_vie_est_belle_julia_robertsHi Everybody,

I hope everyone had plenty of rest and now it’s back to normal life after the festive period. I’m starting with a perfume bought as a present.  Lancôme originated as a perfume company and later moved into the cosmetic industry. I have tried many of their cosmetics but this review will be about their latest perfume. La Vie Est Belle translates into ‘life is beautiful’ and the bottle is a beautiful creation and is a redesign of the classic 1949 bottle. It is a simple, understated, classic bottle.

The perfume itself from the first spray is a strong, orange blossom, jasmine with oriental green tea overtones in the background.  It settles down with a lovely warmth with tonka beans, vanilla and iris being the dominate scents. I wouldn’t say it was very sweet as other reviewers have mentioned but there is a toffee sweetness in the background which doesn’t overwhelm the perfume in my view.

This is a floral perfume with a hint of citrus and sweetness and with a very long lasting time. It may not be original and there is quite a few similar perfumes on the market but it does it in a very classy way.

On my nails – Barry M Xmas LE.

Hi Everybody,

I hope you have had lovely holidays, I start this year with a very festive, sparkling, nail polish. This is my first Barry M nail polish I have tried and it won’t be the last if this is what the rest of their range is like. I bought this from Boots as there was an offer over Christmas so I had to try it.  Easy to apply with just one coat but I applied to two coats to give a stronger ,dramatic look. I think this was the perfect festive nail polish.

Happy New Year everybody!
