September Favourites

Hi all,

September is nearly over and the days are drawing in. Trees are golden, the leaves are falling and Christmas is not to far away!

Here are my favourite things I used in September, all make-up this time!

Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation – A lightweight foundation which applies so easily onto the skin. It’s a light to medium coverage and gives a lovely radiance. A very good budget foundation.

Rimmel Match Perfection Concealer – This luminates the areas around the eyes and helps to give good concealment on other imperfections. It has a small brush to apply onto the area required and blend it in with your fingers.  It is also perfect size to put in a handbag.

Clarins Face Palette ‘Passion‘ – I bought this on offer in Debenhams a few months ago. It is a beautiful, solid, gold palette which oozes quality and sophistication. It’s a setting face powder to keep shine away from your T-zone for example. It’s a translucent powder so you can’t see it on your face when it’s applied.

Lancome Blush Subtil ‘Rose Sable‘ – I love Lancome a lot and this is a beautiful blush. It is a dusty rose colour which is suitable for all skin types. You can use it for a natural look or you can build it up for a more intense look. It is a silky with a hint of shimmer  and is easy to apply.

Laura Mercier Petite Baked Eye Colour Bonbons ‘Amethyst Trio‘ – I have mentioned this before and I still love it. Lovely quality ,easy to blend and long-lasting.

Gosh 9 shades shadow collection ‘To enjoy in New York‘ – They have 3 pallets in the range (New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas) The pallets have 3 shimmery shadows and 6 Velvet-matt type shadows. The packaging is simple but the quality is very good. They apply and blend very well on to the eyes and they don’t leave flakes on the cheeks!

Maybelline ‘Rocket VolumExpress ‘ Mascara  – At first I didn’t like it as I thought it was a bit wet to use but  a few days of using it and it has improved. It gives a nice length and volume and I am impressed.

Nuxe Bio Beaute Tinted Repairing Lip Balm with Peach Pulp – One of my buys from Paris, this lip balm helps repair, nourish and moisturizes the lips. It smells divine with a tint of rosy-peach in it and a wonderful colour when applied on the lips. I love it very much.

Inspired Lip Balm –  I bought this at the Wealden Times Summer Fair and I recommend this product highly. If you have dry lips this is the product to use as it has natural ingredients including beeswax. Please buy it!

Perfume Girl joins The Perfume Society!

Hi Everybody,

As you know I love my perfumes so it was a great find when I discovered that there was a perfume society founded this year. The society is co-founded by Jo Fairley and Lorna McKay and I had to join!

For £25 per year, you receive a free goodie box containing perfume samples ( my set included Versace Crystal Noir, Chole, Miller Harris Fleurs de sel,Nina Ricci L’ Air du Temps, Paco Rabanne Lady Million,Juicy Couture Viva la Juicy Noir, Atkinsons 24 Old Bond Street and Salvador Dali ‘Dali Wild’) and hand cream from Crabtree & Evelyn. Other things included a pack of perfume blotters so you can test different fragrances and a cute notebook so you can write down details of perfumes and postcards of the samples in the goodie box detailing the history and smelling notes of the perfumes. You will also be invited to perfume events and receive an email magazine every month. This is a lovely society and I can’t wait to go the some of the events so I can sniff perfumes!

Jo and Lorna are publishing a book on perfume this month and I cannot wait to read that.

So if you do like perfumes, please join the society and spread the word!
