We are in our cold miserable period where the dryness on our skin appears the most. We now have to use some good products to help our skin and the Weleda Skin Food is the one I will be reviewing.
In 1921 the doctor Ita Wegman (1876-1943) opened the Clinical and Therapeutic Institute in Arlesheim in Switzerland, a hospital using anthroposophical medicine for treating people who had became ill. The chemist Oskar Schmiedel (1887-1959), along with Dr. Wegman and Dr. Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925), developed the first pharmaceutical products whose concept has formed the basis for Weleda’s product philosophy to this day.
Weleda Skin Food is one of Weleda’s oldest products with original formulation since 1926 and has been winning awards ever since. It is a multi purpose cream which you can use from head to toe and is perfect for any age and sex. My husband gets dry skin patches on his face and uses it every day. It is a thick, cream made with organic sunflower seed oil, and extracts of wild pansy, chamomile, calendula and rosemary extract. The smell is pleasant with refreshing essential oils including sweet orange. I used it when I was ill, I had a runny and sore nose and I applied the skin food and I immediately noticed a difference. It soothed the soreness and the redness and dryness had gone. You can even use it as your day and night cream if you wish. It is the multi-purpose miracle worker which really works and it is not hard to find the legions of fans (Victoria Beckham, Adele to name a few) who love it as much as I do!
