Cleansing balms are the first routine I use when I finish my day and I want to remove my make-up. This is the first step that I use. Today, I will go through the 3 balms I have been using recently. They are affordable, do the job and make my skin feel clean.
The first one is from Champneys Super Rich Cleansing Balm. Ruth from ‘A Model Recommends’ reviewed this and like this a lot. It is for normal to dry skin and it is perfect for the autumn/winter as it is quite dry then. It is a thick, grainy consistency but when rubbed into the skin( a pea-sized amount is enough) it becomes an oil and you remove it with a soaked muslin cloth. Skin is left clean, refreshed, hydrated and super clean. Super luxury for only £13.00.
Botanics Hot Cloth Cleansing Balm was another a recommendation which I had to try. Botanics is one of Boots the Chemist own range, the quality of the products and prices are fantastic compared to other makers. This is a 97% organic product with nourishing rosehip oil. It feels like a beeswax, a thick feel which like Champneys becomes oily when rubbed into the skin. Like the Champneys I use a small pea-sized amount of it and make circular motions around your face and neck and remove with a muslin cloth. Another product which considering the price is a wonderful product to use and the skin feels super soft, refreshed and treats the skin. You don’t need to use a lot of it so a pot will go a long way. Wonderful product for all skin types.
Body Shop Camomile Sumptuous Cleansing Balm is quite different from the two previous ones. It feels like lard! But it warms between your fingers and then feels like oil. It is very good at removing the make-up and is gentle to the skin. Like the others you use a flannel or cloth to remove the excess from your skin and wash with water and second cleanse. £12.00 is very good value and a pot will last a long time.
All three are great value and will do the job of removing the make-up and cleansing your skin.
Remember girls, don’t go to sleep with make-up and love your skin!
