I do love my bright pink lipsticks but as autumn is now with us, I swap them for the deeper shades of wine, plum, brownish lipsticks. Here are a few of the ones I have been wearing lately.
Art Deco Lip Brillance 10 – A mauve pink long lasting lipgloss. This stays on the lips for quite a while and the texture is creamy without stickiness. It feels quite moisturizing on the lips.
Elizabeth Arden Ceramide Ultra Lipstick ‘Rose’ – This is a pink rose shade, not too nude or too pink. Lovely texture and doesn’t dry the lips out.
Rimmel by Kate No8 – A Mauve pink/ brown shade. So long lasting on the lips and doesn’t dry them out. I only needed to apply after eating. Nice scent as well.
Maybelline Moisture Extreme ‘ Raspberry Sorbet’ – This is a real raspberry shade. If I want more of a red shade for autumn, this is the one I pick up first. A lovely creamy texture as well.
Rimmel Lasting Finish in ‘Sugar Plum’ – A plum shade with a hinting of frosting in it. A nice texture and a non-drying feel to this lipstick.
Elizabeth Arden Ceramide ‘Brick’ – This is a brick red shade, I have found that with this lipstick I had to use a lip liner as it bleed over the edge of my lips.
Elizabeth Arden Ceramide ‘Ruby Rose’ – This is a beautiful dark pink plum shade. Nice texture and it doesn’t dry the lips out.
Sleek ‘Cherry’ – This is the deepest shade of my autumnal colours, almost a burgundy wine with a hint of purple. This really gives you a dramatic look. Lovely texture but I did need to use a lip liner so it doesn’t bleed over the edge of lips.
L’Oreal Gloss Infalible Matte ‘Smoke Me Up’ – It has a applicator so more of a lip gloss but it has a matt finish. It does have a thick texture but it doesn’t dry the lips out. This is a berry mix shade, very rich and deep in colour. It sets easily and the applicator is good to use. Quite long-lasting too.
Have fun with your shades and don’t be afraid to change your lipsticks when the seasons change!
