I recently bought a very interesting beauty box from Latest in Beauty. It was a collaboration between Red magazine and Latest in Beauty. Red ‘s beauty director Annabel Meggeson compiled some of her favourite skincare products and produced this box. I was intrigued by the contents and had to buy it!
There are 11 products in the box and only one I have tried before. The Weleda Skin Food is beloved by me and my husband so we now one one in the travel size! Dr Lipp Original Nipple Balm is famous for its naughty name but also it is known to be good for your lips. I do love to try facial oils so I’m looking forward to trying Aromatherapy Associates Facial Oil. Institut Esthederm Eau Cellulaire Cellular Spray is a multi-purpose spray that you can use to tone the skin before applying skincare or to refresh your complexion through the day. Embryolisse Lait-Creme Concentre is used by many make up artists in the industry, either to remove make up or as a moisturisier. Its best use is as a primer so I am looking forward to trying it. I am already using the Origins Plantscription Anti-Aging Power Serum and I am liking it so far. It is light weight serum that absorbs easily into the skin. Elemis Pr0-Collagen Cleansing Balm is the first step to cleanse the skin from make-up and is one of the best. Madara Time Miracle Total Renewal Night Cream is a Latvian product and I am proud that Madara are being recognized. I will review this as it is an interesting product. OM Skincare Cleanse & Glow Konjac Sponge was mentioned By Liz Eldridge in one of her blogs and I keep meaning to try one so this is an ideal opportunity! Sudocream Skin Care Cream is great for spots and breakouts and as I suffer from these, I’m looking forward to trying it to see if it works. Sali Hughes mentioned the Elizabeth Arden Advanced Ceramide Capsules Daily Youth Restoring Serum in her April Video and I was bought to buy some when I saw these were in the box so that was all I needed to buy the box. I’ve started these already and I will test them a little longer..
This is a really great box with plenty of different products in them, some may become firm and everyday favourites..
I love beauty and I love fairytales and this year comes the live action story . I can’t wait to see the movie as it reminds me of my childhood when my parents bought the videos for me and my sisters to watch over and over again. We had Cinderella, Snow White, Swan Princess and Beauty and the Best and I loved Beauty and the Beast the most!
The Latest in Beauty release is a Beauty and the Beast box. The box looks like a fairytale book, even down to the page ribbon. It has a small description of the products in the box and discount codes.
There are seven products in the box. There is a Gatineau Radiance Enhancing Gommage, I have never tried this brand and I am looking forward to using this face scrub. I have tried L’Occitane’s hand creams before so I am looking forward to trying Roses et Reines Hand & Nail Cream. Perfect size for the handbag too. Oribe Gold Lust Dry Shampoo is something I’ve wanted to try but is quite expensive so it will be great to try this handy size. Soigne ‘Betteraves Rouges’ Nail Polish is a beautiful red colour and I have tried their polishes and I have enjoyed them. Burt’s Bees Lipstick Blush Basin is a new range from them in creating a new line of lipsticks. I don’t see them in the stores so it’s great to try a new product. Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet is a new product to me and I love to try new moisturizers. The final item is a Latest in Beauty compact mirror for the handbag,
Its a nice selection, mainly French products, which has been nicely selected by Latest in Beauty. I can’t wait to try the products and to see the film.
These days it feels that there is a new beauty box been introduced to the market every day. Therefore it’s quite hard to keep up with these new beauty boxes and try to find boxes that are good value and different enough from the rest.
Last week I bought a new beauty box catered for the Asian market but it can also apply to the other markets. Asiana magazine is a wedding magazine catered for the Asian market and this is their first beauty box and very impressed I am to with it.
For £25 including postage, I received a very nice green turquoise coloured box with an Asian symbol. It came with a booklet with descriptions of the products in it, recommendations by the staff of the magazine and also how to do looks. It also offered cards with offers from the brands. The booklet was useful and a very good idea.
The seven items were:
Estee Lauder Perfectly Clean Triple Action Cleanser (45ml)
Origins GinZing Energy Boosting Moisturiser (15ml)
Smashbox Photo Finish Foundation Primer (7.1ml)
MAC False Lash Mascara (sample)
Bobbi Brown Pot Rougr for Lips and Cheeks ‘Powder Pink’
Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Gel Eyeliner + Brush
Clinque All About Shadow Duos ’11 Nightcap’
The last item was an empty container from Estee Lauder to go to one of their counters for a foundation sample.
I have never tried any of these products so I am excited to try them and see how good they are. The contents is spot on and covers all the areas you want for a beauty box.
This is an excellent choice of products from all the very best brands. Some other beauty boxes can be boring or expensive but not this one. I hope this does well and we can see another boxes in the future. Well done Asiana Magazine, a great box and superb value for money!
As I have mentioned before, I do like to try new products in the Latest in Beauty boxes. You try different products for a modest amount and test them to see if you like them. It also gives you the chance to try and keep up with the constant new products on the market.
This summer box contains eight products, none of which I have ever tried before. Grounded Chocolate Orange Body Scrub is made in the UK and is one of the many new products which uses coffee as a scrub. Aurelia Miracle Cleanser with bamboo muslin cloth is a travel size version of the popular high-end cleanser. I want miracles from this product when I start using it as it is quite expensive. Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray has a lot of love from many in the beauty world, I hope the hype is right! NUXE Prodigieux Shower Oil is a shower oil with golden shimmer and I do love a bit of shimmer. It will be interesting to see the results on this. Smells nice though, like many of Nuxe products do. St Tropez Self Tan Classic Bronzing Mist is a self-tanning spray but I have never self-tanned before so I’m a bit nervous on using it! Ladival Sun Protection Spray is perfect for the summer. It has not just UV-A or UV-B protection but also protects from infrared A rays. No excuse for not protecting ourselves with this full size bottle. Wow Mask Luxury Facial Mask is made in California for the Hyalual Institute in Switzerland. Good for revitalizing the skin and helping to fight pores. Sounds good as do like a face mask. Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colour ‘Devotion’ is a very nice pinky-rapsberry colour. It looks very nice on the lips and was very long lasting in the two days I have used it. I always go for Bourjois or Rimmel so I should take a closer look at Revlon’s products. You also receive brand offers which are redeemable when you purchase items from their websites.
I will do an update of the products later..
This edition is a very interesting box of pampering, relaxing products. I have only tried one of the products in this box before. They always come up with a great, diverse of products for their boxes.
The box contains ten products. Rituals Hammam Delight Foaming Shower Gel. I wonder how foamy it will be! Bamford Geranium, Lavender and Peppermint Body Wash. I feel you will wake up after all that zingy peppermint! Tisserand Sweet Dreams Bath Oil. I have never tried bath oils before so I wonder if I will fall asleep easily after using this? Mauli Himalayan Healing Salts. Salt is a long time healing ritual so I wonder if it will change me from a shower girl to a bath girl! Korres Bergamot & Pear Body Milk. Smells divine, worth buying a big bottle for the scent alone! Beatitude Joy Body Oil. Smells good, I wonder how good it will be on the body? Skyn Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels. Looking forward to trying these for your eyes. Exuviance Purifying Clay Masque. This looks good to purify and invigorate the skin. Malin+Goetz Trio Set. Contains Face cleanser, lip moisturizer and face moisturizer. I have tried the face cleanser and lip moisturizer before and I was impressed. Amphora Aromatics Orange & Clove Candle. A really spicy scent. This is more of a Christmas scent and not really in keeping for a spring/summer box in my view.
I think these boxes are great value for £20.00. You can use them if you are travelling somewhere or it would make a lovely present for somebody. You can buy the boxes and not feel any disappointment if something doesn’t work on you.
I only discovered these boxes last year from ‘Latest in Beauty’. You can preview what is in the box, so you know exactly what you are getting. Other boxes you don’t really know what may be in them and you have to subscribe but with ‘Latest in Beauty’ you don’t have to subscribe. This is a real good feature of their boxes, so you can pick and choose them if some things interest you.
This box comes in a very pretty, bright design slip. I wish this design was on the box itself rather than the plain black box it came in. It is beautifully wrapped in tissue paper and you open it to find introduction leaflets by Alessandra Steinherr, Beauty Director for Glamour Magazine.
The box contains seven products, all I have never tried before. A sample of Bare Minerals Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation in’Bare Natural 07′, Rosie for Autograph Nuit Parfum EDP, (nice that they included a perfume as well! ) Moroccanoil Treatment Light, Illamasqua Precision Ink Eyeliner, Murad AHA/BHA Exfoliating Cleanser, Malin+Goetz Vitamin E Face Moisturizer, MUA Luxe 10 Shade Palette in Utopia and a £10 gift card from Murad. All this for £17.99!
I really think this is the best value beauty box on the market, you get a little of everything which is perfect in my view. If you really like the products you know you can buy with confidence the full-size versions. This is why these beauty boxes are so popular nowadays.
Glamour magazine is the one magazine I buy every month, always good value and often with a freebie!
They also do a seasonal box where you purchase from latestinbeauty.com. This summer’s box was created by the Beauty Director, Alessandra Steinherr and is full of her favourite products.
The box contains a L’Occitane shampoo ans conditioner, Caudalie Divine Oil, Pixi Glow Tonic, Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals, Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayons, Seekers of the Sun Luxury Temporary Tattoos, Balance Me Super Toning Body Polish and Eucerin Sun Care and a Nail Inc Gel Effect Polish. You also received a card of brand offers with money off tokens to use on-line.
It’s a lovely choice of products with a bit of everything needed for the summer. It is my second box of seasonal products from the Glamour selected box and I’m looking forward to the Autumn selection already.
