Cream Eyeshadows I like!

Hello Everybody,

Like most of us who love make-up, I do love eyeshadows. There is so much choice of colours, textures out there. There is nothing better to give your eyes a little pop!

Early cream eyeshadows often got bad press because of their ability to crease but better technology today and the creation of eye primers make it easier to use all eye shadows crease free.

Maybelline Colour Tattoo were one of the first cream shadows for the mass market. The range started small but became very popular with everybody and the range increased.  The colour was well pigmented, easily blendable and stayed on throughout the day.  I have two colours, ‘Pink Gold & ‘Eternal Gold’. I do like to use ‘Eternal Gold’ with a black eyeliner flick and a red lip. Very festive!

I have a few from Benefit in the mini format when you buy a set. ‘Cream Creaseless Eye Shadow’ I have ‘RSVP’ ‘Bikini- Tini’ and ‘Holy Smokes’ These are so brilliant, when you use them with powder eyeshadows they look fantastic. They are so easy to work with and even though they are the small size, you have plenty because you only need to use a small amount of eyeshadow so a small amount goes a long way.

I have one colour from the brand BStunning which you can buy from Superdrug here in the UK. The colour is called ‘Dusk till Dawn’ It is a nice budget example in a pinky-purple colour.

UNE was a brand you could buy from Boots but is now sadly discontinued here. The shade is a champagne colour. I have used this often and you can use it as a highlighter as well.

Max Factor Excess Shimmer in ‘Copper’. The texture is different from the rest as the texture is softer, almost like a mousse compared to the rest. I really enjoy the colour and mixing it with powder eye shadows or you can use it on its own. It is a great for a smoky eye or a natural look.  It is the perfect cream eyeshadow to experiment with different styles.

KIKO are a fantastic brand and I have 2 versions of their cream eyeshadows. I have 2 of their ‘Colour Shock’ range. dark chocolate brown (No 103) and Pink (N0 101). They set very quickly so you have to be quick to work with them!

I have two Long Lasting Stick Eye Shadows. ‘Rosy Brown’ (No 5) and ‘Light Taupe’ (No 25). They are the perfect travel companion on their friendly format. They are easy to work with in the stick format as you are not dipping your finger into the pots and so easy to blend with.

NYX Glam Eye Shadow in ‘Dazzling Quartz’. It is a beautiful colour but it doesn’t stay as long as the others but the colour makes up for it.

Cream Eye shadows are here to stay and all the major brands now have them in their make-up range so you have plenty of options and price ranges out there. Have fun!
