Hi everybody,

I was feeling creative and inspired, so I created a very simple effect that anyone can do. A marble effect which gives a lovely pattern to your nails.

You do need to protect your nails so use a base coat before applying the nail polish. I used Leighton Denny’s ‘One For All’ which is a base coat, top coat, ridge filler and a clear gloss coat. You can use any colours to create the effect. I used Mavala’s ‘Mexico’  which is a dark purple and ‘Violette’ which is a light purple pastel colour. I painted my nails with the Mexico colour. I let it dry and then I did a second coat with it and while it is still wet I added three drops of the lighter ‘Violette’ shade to my nails. Then you start the creative process! With a dotting tool (or a toothpick if you don’t have the tool), you start the light swirling movement to to mix the colours together create the marble effect. Once dried, apply the top coat.  A  lovely effect which is easy to do. Have a go!
