Hi Everybody

Halfway through the year, where has the year gone?

There is so many interesting products out there I want to try but just don’t get the chance to buy all of it! Here are some of things I have been using.

SKINCARE & BODY

Nivea Anti-Perspirant Invisible – This is the first time I have used a spray anti-perspirant as I normally use a roll-on. As it is summer and of course you sweat more than usually and you want to keep odours at bay and feel fresh. I haven’t used Nivea before and It has a nice smell and I have felt no irritation in my armpits after using it!

Pixi Glow Tonic –  I wasn’t sure about this about this toner to see how my skin reacted to having a exfolitator on my skin in a liquid form.  People had raved about this exfolitating tonic which would brighten, smooth and even your skin. I have to say that after using it my skin felt different, it looked bright and I also had less bumps on it. I will need to purchase a full-size bottle now.

Eucerin Face Sun Creme SPF 30 – This really does absorb into the skin quickly with no greasiness or odour and no white chalky residue. My make-up looked good as well. A great buy.

Neal’s Yard Power Berry Daily Moisture – This is the first time I have tried this product. A light, watery, almost like a lotion. Not heavy at all and it absorbs so easily into the skin with a lovely aroma of berries.  My skin loved this,it looked so bright! Neal’s Yard just don’t make bad products.

Sarah Chapman Skinesis Overnight Facial – This has been a popular product and I can see why. I used this every night and it is so light and it really helped my skin. I had a few breakouts and it helped the recovery  of my skin from them. It didn’t feel greasy and absorbed easily into my skin. What a product, expensive it may be it’s but worth every penny in my view.

MAKE-UP

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation – Liz Eldridge has always spoken highly of this foundation and I had to try some.  I choose Light Vanilla and it gave me a nice glow to my skin. I don’t like matt foundations as I like my skin to glow and this product is as good as No 7’s Stay Perfect or Instant Radiance in ‘Calico’ which I use so much.  This Bourjois foundation is a really great budget option.

Bourjois Colour Band Eyeshadow & Liner Pencil in ‘Mauve Baroque’–  A Lilac colour which when applied does not smudge. When I blend it in it sets quickly, a great hand bag product. If you have limited time to get a great make-up look, use this and mascara to get a great look!

Bourjois Volume 1 Seconde Mascara -You need to build up your lashes with this mascara to get a volume look and it needs more than 1 second to do it! The brush is quite chunky so you can build up a nice look when you allow it to dry between each coat.

Chanel Coco Rouge LipStick – A New range of lipsticks named after important friends to Gabrielle. There are 24 in total and I have tried 5 of them. Coco, Arthur, Emilienne, Adrienne and Roussy. These are hydrating lipsticks and the colours are fantastic and stay on the lips so long and my lips feel so hydrated.  As you expect from Chanel the quality is fantastic and luxurious.

Happy Holidays!

Summery Hand Creams by The Body Shop.

IMG_3490

Hi,

As you know I love hand creams and the Body Shop. I always use hand creams throughout the seasons. I use the thicker hand creams for the winter when things are dry and cold. In the summer I use lighter, texture hand creams and I’m particular enjoying these Body Shop hand creams that I received as a Christmas present from my sister and brother in law. I know straight away these would be perfect for the summer months.

I received 3 fruity hand creams, a Pink Grapefruit, Mango and Strawberry. One floral scented hand cream in Moringa and 2 standard hand creams in Sheas and a Honeymania hand cream.

They are a light gel cream which absorbs very quickly into the skin without any stickiness to them. Of course they also the hydrate the hands leaving them soft. The fruit ones are so beautifully scented you could eat your hand off! They are perfect for the hand bag or when travelling as they are in a nice compact size. All this goodness that looks after your hands will cost you £3.50 each, that is wonderful value for money. Now to get the rest of the Body Shop collection of hand creams!

Hi Everybody,

Glamour magazine is the one magazine I buy every month, always good value and often with a freebie!

They also do a seasonal box where you purchase from latestinbeauty.com. This summer’s box was created by the Beauty Director, Alessandra Steinherr and is full of her favourite products.

The box contains a L’Occitane shampoo ans conditioner, Caudalie Divine Oil, Pixi Glow Tonic, Vita Liberata Trystal Minerals, Bourjois Colour Boost Lip Crayons, Seekers of the Sun Luxury Temporary Tattoos, Balance Me Super Toning Body Polish and Eucerin Sun Care and a Nail Inc Gel Effect Polish. You also received a card of brand offers with money off tokens to use on-line.

It’s a lovely choice of products with a bit of everything needed for the summer. It is my second box of seasonal products from the Glamour selected box and I’m looking forward to the Autumn selection already.

Escada ‘Turquoise Summer’ EDT Review.

IMG_3294

Hi Everybody,

You know when summer is close to us when Escada bring out their usual limited edition summer fragrance. They are usually Eau du Toilette so not sickly or overpowering, perfect for the hot summers, well maybe not here in England!

This edition is inspired by the serene atmosphere of summer, vivid orchards and butterflies. This is quite a light, subtle floral fruity fragrance from Escada. The fruity notes are a cocktail of berries – strawberries, raspberries and blackcurrants. The red fruits give way to peaches and then it settles to a creamy vanilla and a hint of sandlewood.  A very pleasant scent, so summery and like others from Escada it lasts a long time with only a quick squirt.

I always look forward to what Escada create for their summer editions, how they come up with something different but still summery.

On My Nails – Orly ‘Passion Fruit’

Hi Everybody,

Is it June already? Today, as the summer is near to us and we are thinking of holidays, I thought it would be great to get out the summer nail polishes. It”s great to get the summer colours out from the collection, the yellows, oranges, the bright pinks, reds, blues and greens.

Orly’s passion fruit is a perfect summer nail colour. A bright pink, a great colour to lift your mood. It’s to easy to apply and I do prefer to use two coats on my nails so if you don’t one is enough. It stays and keeps on my nails for quite a while. A lovely summer colour and I will be changing my colours often now summer is here!
